A former college student who made the dean’s list was slapped with a 10-year prison sentence after he admitted to selling more than 70 guns to an undercover NYPD cop, prosecutors said on Wednesday.

Shakor “Sha” Rodriguez, 23, was also sentenced to five years post-release supervision for trafficking 73 weapons and 40 high-capacity magazines from the South to his native Bronx and to Manhattan, prosecutors said.

“He brought some of the weapons in duffle bags by bus and then sold them to an undercover NYPD officer,” Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark said in a statement.

“The influx of guns threatens the safety of Bronxites,” she said. “I thank our partners at the NYPD for intercepting these guns before they ended up on our streets.”

Rodriguez was a student at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee when he moved the guns into the Big Apple between July 17, 2020 and Dec. 22, 2021, according to the charges against him.

Of the weapons the student moved — and sold to a cop who paid between $1,000 and $1,500 per gun — were 59 loaded firearms, according to prosecutors. The sales were targeted in Rodriguez’s former neighborhood on Weeks Avenue in the Bronx or on Allen Street on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, according to prosecutors.

While he was trafficking the weapons, he kept up a 3.5 grade point average earning him a spot on the university’s dean’s list in fall 200.

The former overachiever pleaded guilty on Sept. 19 to charges of criminal sale of firearm and also received a one-to- three years indeterminate sentence for fourth-degree conspiracy.

He was sentenced in Bronx Criminal court by Justice Albert Lorenzo.
