Queens is getting rubbed the wrong way.

A single slice of northeast Queens is turning into an unlikely spa district, with increasingly elaborate massage parlors putting down stakes.

Two huge pampering parlors — Spa Castle and Fountain of Youth Health Spa — operate in the borough’s Community Board 7, and two more massive ones are in the works despite fears about traffic and unseemly activity.

There are at least 20 smaller massage-and-more parlors in Flushing that advertise their services on “happy ending” sex Web sites.

“Who are all these people going to these spas?” asked state Sen. Tony Avella (D-Queens), who has questioned the spa scourge.

Spa Castle, an 80,000-square-foot theme park, opened in 2007 despite howls from residents about traffic and its application for a liquor license.

The massage mansion has attracted a cult following from relaxation seekers across the city, though the Zen was broken by a bloody fight between two women in the lobby earlier this year, as captured on a video posted on Web site WorldStarHipHop.com.

“There’s concerns about the smaller places not being reputable establishments, Avella said. “It’s tough to close these places down.”
