A homeless man slashed a father and son when they confronted him for throwing trash in a broad-daylight Brooklyn attack, authorities and sources said.
The slasher — seen without a shirt on in surveillance images — was rifling through the garbage and tossing items on the ground around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday on Garden Street near Flushing Avenue in Bushwick when Angel Seijo, 59 and his son Matthew, 28, stopped him in his tracks, cops said.

Seijo told The Post he and his son were eating breakfast outside and tidying up when they spotted the vagrant, who he said is well-known in the neighborhood, making the mess.
“I’m cleaning up and out of nowhere he comes and starts throwing trash in the air and it goes all over the sidewalk. I said something like, ‘Yo boss take it easy with the trash,” the father recalled.
“He starts arguing with us and says how we are always complaining because he’s a regular around here, he knows we don’t like it,” said Seijo.
“He started cursing at my son, and well, my son doesn’t take that,” added Seijo.

Both victims were hospitalized in stable condition, cops said. FOX5The argument escalated to the point where the vagrant was hurling glass bottles at the father-son duo.
“We were dodging them and he broke a car window with one,” said the father.
Seijo and his son told the man they were calling the cops and that’s when the barechested trash-flinger turned violent – pulling out two blades and slashed Angel in the neck and Matthew in the right thigh, according to police and sources.
The argument escalated to the point where the vagrant was hurling glass bottles at the father-son duo. Valentina JaramilloMatthew sprung into action, grabbing a metal pipe to fend off the fiend who was attempting to slash his father. The duo wrestled the maniac to the ground but not before each sustained minor injuries.
“I didn’t feel any pain,” said Seijo. “I only noticed when I felt the warmth of the blood dripping down my neck.”
Both men were taken to Woodhull Medical Center, where they were listed in stable condition.

“The doctor said ‘you’re very lucky’, because he could have paralyzed half of your body, or he could have cut more of your throat,” the father said.
Despite the scare, Seijo was largely unfazed.

The assailant fled the scene after he was bested by the father-son tag team. The NYPD says the man is still at large.
