A Brooklyn church elder was shot in his shoulder and wrist yesterday while trying to protect his gold crucifix from a robber.

Francis Gabourel, 56, was at a stoplight in his Range Rover, with the windows down, a block from his Bed-Stuy home when the thug grabbed the chain, opened fire and fled.
