
Shots fired at NYPD officers
A man was arrested when he opened fire on several police officer as they were responding to a possible home invasion in Queens on Monday, authorities said.
The cops pulled up to the Ridgewood home on 56th Avenue around 8:45 a.m. when the suspect fired a single shot in their direction, police said.
The bullet missed the officers, who then apprehended the suspect and recovered his weapon.
Six officers were taken to North Shore University Hospital with unspecified injuries. The shooter was taken Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition.
