Shots were fired near a busy Brooklyn subway station Wednesday morning, police said.
No one was reported injured in the mayhem around 11:10 a.m. outside the Jay St – MetroTech station in Downtown Brooklyn.
A 23-year-old witness who works in the neighborhood described how he was sitting on a bench in the courtyard near the station when he saw a group of four men chasing after two others.
“They exchanged words,” the witness said. “It was a matter of less than a minute. Four of them come [and] they are all barking at the kid.”
“And then he runs up to them and pulls out the gun. Shoots off one round. He missed,” he added.
Police could not immediately provide a description for the gunman, who rushed from the area.
