A former building super from Staten Island chopped up his furniture and then allegedly used it as kindling to set fire to his building yesterday morning.
Lube Paskoski, 65, who retired from his job but still lives in a garden apartment in the building at 150 Bard Ave., in Livingston, is suspected of setting the blaze at about 10:50 a.m. inside the garage, according to police and fire sources.
The fire burned through his apartment and two others.
Paskoski was taken into custody with burn marks on one hand and matchsticks stashed in a pocket, sources said.
