A man stabbed his live-in girlfriend several times, the turned the knife on himself in New Springfield, sources said.

The 43-year-old assailant attacked the 44-year-old woman during a dispute in the home on Country Drive North, around 3:45 p.m., today, sources said.

He then stabbed himself in the chest inside a bedroom before also slitting both his wrists, sources added.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and the man was taken to Staten Island University North Hospital in critical condition, sources said.
