A Staten Island politician says Lady Gaga is a “slut.”

Borough President James Molinaro made the remark Monday. At the time, he was pointing to photos of the pop superstar lighting what appears to be a marijuana cigarettes at an Amsterdam concert last week.

The photos were displayed alongside a poster that said: “Stop glorifying drug use in the media.”

According to the Staten Island Advance, Molinaro said: “This slut is influencing many, many children.”

He said his niece’s two daughters, ages 12 and 14, love Lady Gaga, and he wondered why.

Molinaro also launched into a general attack on actors and ballplayers who he said use drugs “as if it’s nothing.”

A representative of Lady Gaga didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment Tuesday.
