ALBANY — Gov. Paterson and Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver were on a collision course yesterday as Silver pooh-poohed the governor’s Monday deadline for a new state budget.

“I would say that I remember being in that room and I said to the [legislative] leaders that if they don’t get this budget balanced by Monday that I’m going to do it,” said a seemingly miffed Paterson yesterday.
