A man died after losing control and crashing his car in Queens early Monday morning, authorities said.
Police said the driver, a man in his mid-50s, was traveling northbound on Woodhaven Boulevard at the intersection of Eliot Avenue around 3:30 a.m. when he lost control of his 2013 Hyundai sedan and barreled into a light pole.
The victim was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead, according to an FDNY spokeswoman.
Police are investigating whether the driver suffered a medical episode in the moments leading up to the crash.
The person’s identity has not been released pending family notification.
