A 12-year-old girl and her 40-year-old mother were among six people wounded in a brazen shooting inside a Bronx convenience store after the parent was used as a human shield by the “cowardly” intended targets Monday afternoon, according to police officials.
The mom was shot in the stomach when two gunmen opened fire on their rivals outside G&W Grocery on White Plains Road near East 211th Street around 4:50 p.m. in Gunhill, Interim Chief of Department John Chell said during a press briefing at the scene.
