A 6-year-old girl was struck and killed by a car in Brooklyn on Tuesday night, police said.
The male driver of a blue Lexus SUV hit the child at the intersection of 67th Street and 12th Avenue in Dyker Heights at about 8 p.m., police and sources said.
The girl was taken to Maimonides Medical Center and pronounced dead, authorities said.
It was unclear who, if anyone, was accompanying the child before the fatal collision.
The driver remained on the scene and no arrests were immediately made, according to police.
The child was hit at an intersection in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn.
