An authentic C-54 Skymaster touches down on the tarmac of historic Floyd Bennett Field where it will remain on display at Hangar B through the winter and spring months.

Allied forces used the Skymaster extensively during the Berlin Airlift in 1948-49 to deliver vital supplies to Germans cut off in the western end of the city.
