Cops believe a Long Island City mom was killed by someone close to her who didn’t intend to shoot the victim, police sources said yesterday.

Tara Webb was gunned down on her 27th birthday, and her boyfriend, Terrell Carmichael, was wounded by the gunfire in her apartment at the Queensbridge Houses early Saturday morning.

Investigators declined to name a suspect but said the shooter was very well known to Webb and didn’t mean to kill her.

“There was an argument that night. I heard a lot of people running back and forth,” said next-door neighbor Yvonne Manfredis, 37.

“Tara was a nice person. I’m so shocked and upset.”
