Murdered Queens rapper Lionel “Chinx” Pickens was targeted by a lone shooter at a time when his bodyguard wasn’t with him and he was driving his own car — something he normally did not do, cops said Tuesday.

“He did have a security person, but not in that car. Mr. Pickens was driving the vehicle, something he usually doesn’t do,” NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce said.

Cops are still searching for a motive and trying to identify a suspect, but have so far been unable to locate any witnesses or surveillance video that could shed new light on the case.

“We have his movements tracked, where he was, the Randolph Club and over to the hookah lounge and then [he is shot] shortly thereafter. So it’s kind of like a timeline we’re setting up. So it’s a long-term investigation,” Boyce said.

Pickens, he added, did not get into any fights at the club, where he had performed before he was shot 15 times Sunday at 4 a.m.

Boyce said a passenger in Pickens’ silver Porsche was wounded, but was in no shape to be questioned yet.

“He’s in a bad state. He’ll make it, but we haven’t talked to him,” Boyce said.

Cops are also looking for a blue car that slowly pulled alongside the Porsche before the bloodbath in Jamaica, Queens.
