An emotionally disturbed man tried to slash a 25-year-old police officer with a box cutter on a Brooklyn street corner Wednesday afternoon, police sources said.

Jonathan Cordoba, 34, threatened Police Officer Randy Sanchez with the blade at the corner of Fulton St. and Franklin Ave. in Bedford-Stuyvesant at about 1:30 p.m., the sources said.

Sanchez and his partner struggled with and arrested Cordoba, who was taken to Interfaith Hospital as an emotionally disturbed person, the sources said.

Sanchez’s right shoulder was injured, and he was treated and released from Lutheran Hospital.
