She’s charged with killing him — but she still loves him.
Hot-tempered Jasmine Diaz told a Bronx Central Booking cellmate that she’s still in love with Franklyn Hernandez, her 17-year old boyfriend whom she’s accused of running down with an SUV after he accidentally damaged her iPhone.
“She says she loves him and she feels like s–t,” the cellmate, Michelle Rodriguez, 21, said after being released on a shoplifting charge.
Diaz, 25, was held without bail after her arraignment on charges of manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident for allegedly mowing down Hernandez early Wednesday morning a block from his home at Morris Avenue and East 165th Street.
“Franklyn jumped in front of the vehicle and I just kept going,” she told police, a prosecutor said in court.
After leaving the courtroom, Diaz flew into another rage, screaming the F-word several times. A half-dozen family members and her lawyer, William Schwarz, refused to comment.
Diaz, who faces a maximum of 25 years if convicted, returns to court on June 12.
