A crooked Mayor de Blasio donor plied former NYPD Chief of Department Philip Banks with lavish gifts – including a championship ring that belonged to boxer Muhammad Ali – in order to weasel his way into the top cop’s “inner circle,” the disgraced businessman testified Friday.

Jona Rechnitz said his close relationship with the then-top cop “opened doors” for him and his business associate, Jeremy Reichberg.

“Any cop Jeremy or I would call understood — it carried weight,” Rechnitz testified in Manhattan federal court, referring to the men’s relationship with Banks.

Rechnitz got on Banks’ good side by gifting him weekly or bi-weekly meals, trips and Ali’s coveted ring, he told jurors.

The favors led Banks’ right-hand man, then-Deputy Chief Michael Harrington, to frequently tell Rechnitz and Reichberg that they earned their spot in the commish’s tight-knit “inner circle.”

Rechnitz is the government’s star witness in disgraced corrections officers union boss Norman Seabrook’s corruption trial.

Banks, through his lawyer Benjamin Brafman, has denied any wrongdoing.
