‘Slur’ spurred hammer man
A man accused of a near-fatal hammer attack on two Spanish tourists eating pizza on a bench in City Hall Park last month told cops he went berserk after they allegedly called him “gay” and a “Nazi.”
“Something inside me snapped,” accused hammer-swinging monster Douglas Epp told cops in a confession released yesterday.
“That guy called me a Nazi and I just lost it,” Epp claimed of victim Hugo Alejandre, 31.
