S&M guy in a bind
The nation’s top court has agreed to consider reinstating the sex-trafficking conviction of a Queens man dubbed the “S&M Svengali.”
The Supreme Court’s justices yesterday said they will hear an appeal filed by federal prosecutors in the case of Glenn Marcus, 56, who was convicted after a lurid trial that dealt with mutilation and extreme humiliation.
Last year, the 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that Marcus’ conviction violated the Constitution because he was convicted of breaking the 2000 Trafficking Victims Protection Act, which didn’t exist when many of the offenses happened.
The incidents spanned from 1999 to 2001.
