A passenger jet headed from Albany to Washington, DC, turned back yesterday after smoke was detected in one of the plane’s restrooms.

Albany International Airport spokesman Doug Myers said United Flight 3739 landed safely.

There were no injuries among the 65 passengers and crew, who were headed to Dulles International Airport. Investigators were trying to determine the source of the smoke.
