The water and sewer bill for the average single-family homeowner is going up this year by 12.9 percent.
The city’s Water Board is expected to approve that rate hike today — marking the fourth double-digit increase in as many years.
That’ll boost the bill for a single-family home that uses about 80,000 gallons a year, which is the average, from $723 to $816.
Homeowners who consume more water, 100,000 gallons a year — will see their average bills break $1,000.
