Cops who were cleared by a jury of sodomizing a tattoo artist in a Brooklyn subway station will be back in court in June for a civil suit, a Brooklyn federal judge ruled yesterday.
Three of the officers, who last week were acquitted of sexually assaulting Michael Mineo with a police baton, are being sued in federal court for violating his civil rights. A fourth officer, who witnessed the incident but was not charged, was also sued. The city was also named in the case.
Judge Jack Weinstein split the case in two, with the one against the cops first and the city’s case following.
