Atiba BrownBrooklyn DAA Brownsville man convicted of killing his schizophrenic mother with a brick and an electrical cord was sentenced in Brooklyn Supreme Court on Thursday to 15 years for manslaughter.
Atiba Brown, 26, bashed the head of his sick mom, Christiana Jones, 45, then strangled her in 2011.
He had called the act a “mercy killing.”
Brown dodged a life sentence when a jury found him guilty of manslaughter rather than murder.
