Reporting that airlines are bumping more passengers these days, The Wall Street Journal found an airline honcho willing to cut through the bull. “It’s pretty simple: It’s just because planes are more full than last year,” US Airways official Tom Trenga said.

Careful there, fella. Plain English will only inspire passengers. Next thing you know, they’ll be asking why they have to sit on a steaming tarmac for six hours with overflowing toilets and screaming babies.
