An adult special needs student was among two people in critical condition after a school bus in the Bronx slammed into a Jeep that blew through a red light, according to police.

At least six others were injured in the violent collision that took place at around 3:15 p.m. when a yellow school bus was struck by a Jeep at Einstein Loop at the Hutchinson River Parkway, according to police.

The special needs student, 21, and the passenger in the Jeep were both in critical condition, the NYPD said. The other injuries were minor. Everyone was taken to Jacobi Medical Center.

Other students on the bus were ages, 8, 10, and 14, police said. The bus also had a driver and a monitor.

After the Jeep struck the bus, it crashed into a Chrysler and a four-door Sedan, cops said. The Jeep appeared to run a red light before the crash, according to authorities.

One witness told The Post he helped four people on the bus – two students and two school staffers – get out of the vehicle. He was nearby when he heard a “loud boom” and ran over in slippers.

“Inside the bus it’s people screaming, it’s like a movie. Chaos,” pharmacist Justice Kwansa said, adding the students were panicking. “They didn’t know what happened.”
