The speed demon who was busted after a reckless race around Manhattan and went on the lam to Canada thumbed his nose at New York authorities Friday — telling them if they wanted him, they’d have to come and get him.
Adam Tang, who was convicted in absentia Thursday and faced up to a year in the slammer, defiantly taunted the cops in an interview with WABC/Channel 7.
“The biggest lesson that I learned through all this is that if the cops come knocking at your door, don’t cooperate. I mean what kind of society is that?” Tang said.
“I mean, sure, maybe I did a stupid thing, I thought it would be cool, in hindsight New Yorkers would appreciate it, but do you think what I did was dangerous?” Tang said about his wild ride, in which he sped at up to 100 mph while circling the island.
Tang captured the ride on a dashcam, and the video went viral, allowing cops to track him down and arrest him.
Tang, who goes by the name Afroduck, forfeited $15,000 by skipping bail and fleeing to the Great White North.
