A speeding 14-year-old driver was killed and his three young passengers were seriously hurt when he lost control of his ride in a tragic upstate New York crash over the weekend, authorities said.
The underage motorist was zooming in the town of Mooers, on the Canadian border, around 1:45 a.m. Sunday and failed to navigate a curve on Depot Street, New York State Police said.
He lost control of the vehicle, which veered off the north shoulder of the roadway — striking multiple trees before coming to a rest, cops said.

The underage driver failed to navigate a curve on Depot Street in the town of Mooers, cops said. NBC5The teen, of Rouses Point, NY, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clinton County Coroner, authorities said.
His passengers — a 12-year-old girl from Mooers, a 13-year-old girl from Champlain and a 14-year-old boy also from Mooers — were hospitalized in stable but critical condition, cops said.
The young victims had not been publicly identified by Tuesday.
