St. John’s University honored detectives Jason Rivera and Wilbert Mora Monday night at Madison Square Garden as they took on Big East rival Villanova Tuesday.

Rivera, 22 and Mora, 27, were fatally shot when a gunman ambushed them during a domestic call in a Harlem apartment on Jan. 21.

Rivera’s widow, Dominique Luzuriaga, received a standing ovation when she came to center court during the game.

“It was an honor to be part of the especially touching standing ovation and outpouring of love that Detective Rivera‘s wife Dominique received as she stood at half court,”  said NYPD First Deputy Commissioner Edward Caban.

“I want to thank President [Brian] Shanley and St. John’s University for taking time to honor these two heroes.”
