Starr-crossed celebs’ hope
Prosecutors and crooked celebrity money manager Kenneth Starr have cut a deal on paying back his victims — but the amount is secret for now, and might not be enough to satisfy everyone duped in the $50 million fraud.
Prosecutor William Harrington told Manhattan federal Judge Shira Scheindlin yesterday that a number of Starr’s victims say they are owed more from him than is set forth in the restitution agreement.
Scheindlin said she would give Starr’s victims — said to include Al Pacino, Ron Howard, magician David Blaine and designer Isaac Mizrahi — up to 30 days after his March 2 sentencing to file letters with the court objecting to the restitution package.
