Bronx activist Hector Ramirez is running for state Assembly this year even though he was arrested in May 2015 for allegedly committing voter fraud in his failed 2014 campaign.

Prosecutors charged Ramirez in a 242-count indictment for allegedly tricking voters into giving him their absentee ballots and marking at least 35 as votes for himself.
