Fifteen people, including four from New York City, were arrested in connected with a ring that allegedly funneled heroin from the Bronx to Buffalo, Attorney General Eric Schneiderman said today.

In crashing the smuggling-and-distribution network, Schneiderman said authorities confiscated seven kilos of heroin — worth $3.5 million on the street — and $45,000 in cash. He termed the arrests the “largest heroin bust in Buffalo history.”

Among those arrested as part of Operation Horse Trail were: Eury Rodriguez, 32, of Manhattan; Luis Sime, 43, Edwin Gomez, 32, and Jose Garcia, 49, all of The Bronx; Yadhira Ramos, 34, of Teaneck, N.J.; one man from Puerto Rico and nine others from Buffalo.

The operation was coordinated by the state’s Organized Crime Task Force. The charges were filed in state Supreme Court in Buffalo.
