ALBANY — A new system allows New Yorkers to find out when moderate- and high-risk sex offenders move into or out of a community.
Residents can be alerted by a telephone, e-mail or text message.
There are more than 30,000 registered sex offenders living in the state.
More information about the alert system is available at http://www.criminaljustice.state.ny.us.
