An Amazon worker flew off the handle Friday, spraying fellow employees with a fire extinguisher during an argument, forcing 2,000 people to evacuate the Staten Island warehouse, cops said
The ordeal started just before 6 a.m. when 25-year-old Myles Lightner allegedly swiped a co-worker’s phone and watch from a bench inside the warehouse on Gulf Avenue in Bloomfield, spurring an argument, according to police.
At one point, Lightner grabbed a fire extinguisher and began spraying employees, cops said.
Police arrived just after 6 a.m. to help with crowd control after the 2,000 workers were evacuated from the warehouse.
Nine people were treated for minor injuries for irritated skin and trouble breathing.
Lightner was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment and petit larceny, cops said.
