The NYPD is making way for ducklings.

Staten Island’s 123rd precinct rescued eight baby ducks after the fuzzy little creatures had fallen through a sewer grate.

The life-saving recovery happened on Holdrige Ave., in Tottenville, around 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Pictures tweeted out by the department show officers happily opening the grate to get the fowl. Of course, the officers posed for pictures with the quacking crew after saving them.

According to the tweety-bird Tweet, an emergency service unit was also on the scene.

The birds were reunited with their mother in a nearby pond.
