Pledging to uproot political corruption in Albany, Staten Island District Attorney Daniel Donovan kicked off his campaign yesterday as a Republican candidate for state attorney general.
“It’s safe to say that almost everyone agrees that the last four years in Albany have been a disaster. The experiment with one-party, absolute rule has clearly failed,” Donovan said as he announced his bid for office with his elderly mother and Mayor Bloomberg by his side in Manhattan.
A two-term DA, Donovan said the attorney general should have jurisdiction over all public corruption cases in the state.
