The 17-year-old Staten Island high school student struck by a car last Friday reportedly died early this morning as a result of her injuries.

Janine Brawer never regained consciousness after the accident, The Staten Island Advance reported today on its Web site.

Cops said the accident occurred at about 11:30 a.m. when a Nissan Maxima driven by another Tottenville HS student stopped to let Brawer cross the street and was then struck from behind by a car also driven by a student at the school.

The impact pushed the stopped car into Brawer.

Police said no charges were filed after the accident.
