A teenager shot his mom in the back after a heated argument in their Staten Island home on Saturday, police said.

Cops responded to a home on Burbank Avenue at around 6:30 p.m. and found a 51-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her lower back, police said.

The son, 18, was taken into custody and his mother is expected to survive, cops said.

The quiet street remained taped off into the night on Saturday with several officers and unmarked police vehicles still on the scene to investigate.
