A baby boy from Staten Island was riddled with fentanyl and cocaine in his system when he died more than two months ago, police and sources said Wednesday — as his death was ruled a homicide.

Sakani Kamagate was just 16 months old when his father found him unconscious on the bed they were sharing inside his home on Hamilton Avenue near St. Marks Place in St. George just after 4 a.m. Feb. 20, authorities said.

The tot’s dad called 911 and EMS brought the child to Richmond University Medical Center, where he died.

There were no obvious signs of trauma at the time. 

The NYPD announced Wednesday that Sakani’s death has been ruled a homicide. 

The boy’s father told police he laid down around midnight next to his son, and woke up around 4 a.m. to find that the little boy wasn’t breathing.

An investigation revealed that the young boy died of acute intoxication of fentanyl and cocaine, police sources said. 

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing, cops said. 

In an obituary posted online, the tragic boy’s family remembered him as a “super smart, adorable, loving, sweet baby.”

“Although Sakani did not have much time on this earth; he touched many hearts with his bright, vibrant spirit,” the heartbreaking notice said. “Sakani will always be loved and remembered for bringing joy to the lives of everyone who knew him.”
