Two Bronx elevated train stations that were shuttered for an overhaul eight months ago will be open for business and barely recognizable tomorrow, the MTA said yesterday.

The Elder Avenue and St. Lawrence Avenue stops on the No. 6 line are to open at 5 p.m. after their facelifts.

The do-overs include spruced-up mezzanines, new platforms and state-of-the-art lighting systems.

Meanwhile, painting and the installation of artwork in the windows of the station is expected to continue until next year.

The bad news for riders is that the MTA is discontinuing the free local bus service that it instituted to replace the trains.
