The admitted killer of a Pace University student wants his confession tossed — claiming cops got it by interrogating him without reading him his Miranda rights.

But prosecutors countered in pretrial arguments yesterday that alleged murderer Jeromie Cancel, while in custody on a petit larceny, blurted details without prodding as cops repeatedly brushed him off.

Cancel is due to go on trial for the 2008 murder of Kevin Pravia in the student’s Chelsea home.

Cancel was read his rights once cops realized he might be telling the truth.

Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Daniel FitzGerald reserved decision on whether jurors would be allowed to hear Cancel’s boast of having strangled Pravia after being invited up to sell cocaine.
