Former International Monetary Fund (IMF) boss Dominique Strauss-Kahn was staying put in New York City as he struggles to find longer-term accommodation, myFOXny.com reported Wednesday.

Strauss-Kahn has been staying at a posh apartment building in Manhattan since Friday after his release on bail from Rikers Island jail.

The apartment was supposed to be a temporary home until he and his wife could find a longer-term solution.

But so far they have not found a location that wants to deal with him because many apartment building owners do not want to rent him rooms.

Owners fear throngs of reporters will camp out outside his apartment waiting for the French politician to appear while he awaits trial on charges of sexual assault on a maid at the Sofitel Hotel in Manhattan.

Under his bail conditions, Strauss-Kahn is monitored by security guards 24 hours a day and has to wear an ankle bracelet. He is only allowed out to visit court, doctors, a house of worship or his lawyers.
