Think you live on the city’s roughest road?

A new bill passed by the City Council yesterday would make it as easy as typing a street name into a Department of Transportation Web site map to find out when it was last repaved.

Streets conditions are rated as poor, fair or good.

“This is about equipping our constituents with information so that we can get to more drivable streets,” said Councilman James Oddo (R-SI). “We’re doing everything under the sun to get us to more drivable streets.”

Mayor Bloomberg supports the legislation. The DOT would have to revamp the online map within one year of Bloomberg’s approval.
