Relatives of infant twin boys hurt in a crash blamed on a speeding livery driver lashed out at the cabby yesterday.
“I think this man never should have been on the streets,” said the boy’s aunt, Maria Munoz, 35, at Lutheran Medical Center, where the twins and their mother were recovering.
“Thank God, they are alive,” Munoz said of 9-month-old Gustavo (in critical condition) and Daniel Mechuca-Huerta (in stable condition) and their mom, Patricia Mechuca, 21.
Police said livery driver Gregorio Patino, 57, smashed his cab into a double-parked van on Fourth Avenue in Sunset Park about 1:15 p.m. Sunday. The van then rammed a pick-up that jumped the sidewalk and hit Mechuca and the stroller carrying the boys.
