A star female basketball player-turned-substitute teacher is in hot water for allegedly carrying on a months-long sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl at the Long Island high school where she taught.
Police say Kaitlin Grant, 23, of Elmont, taught earth science and math at Freeport HS when she met the victim, with whom she allegedly had sex several times between last November and February.
The victim’s family found out about the relationship through social media and contacted the cops, who arrested Grant at about 2 a.m. yesterday.
In court yesterday, Grant looked intimidated, at times glancing at her parents, Yvette and Maurice Grant — an assistant principal at Freeport HS.
She was released on $4,500 bail after pleading not guilty to sex charges.
