A teen was jumped and slashed several times outside his Bronx public high school on Wednesday, police said.
The 16-year-old victim was leaving DeWitt Clinton HS in Kingsbridge around 3 p.m. when he was approached by another teen while still on campus, the NYPD and police sources said.
That person asked whether the victim was part of a gang known as “YGK,” sources told The Post.
It’s unclear what the victim answered, but soon after, a second person approached and slugged him, the sources said.
Soon, a group of about 10 teens was upon him.
During the attack, one of the hooligans slashed the victim several times in the face, chest, buttocks and thighs, according to the NYPD and the sources.
The goons snatched the teen’s phone and took off on West Mosholu Parkway South, cops said.
The victim was taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was expected to be OK.
DeWitt Clinton logged 17 weapons incidents last year, a Post analysis found in April.
