Nearly 200 subway workers whose jobs were in limbo for months began handing in their badges and uniforms yesterday.
A judge had blocked the MTA from closing more than 40 subway booths and firing the workers in June, saying the agency first needed to hold a new round of public hearings, which took place last month.
The workers’ union says the firings make the stations less safe.
