Subway crime shot up dramatically in the past year, with 14.6 percent more major felonies in the past 12 months than in the previous year, cops said.

The crime rate peaked this winter. From January through March of this year, there were 123 robberies in the transit system, up from 98 during the same period in 2015. In the same period, grand larcenies rose from 344 to 367, and felony assaults went up 44 percent from 52 to 75.
