A cop was punched in the face while trying to stop a man from beating a subway fare at a train station in Crown Heights Sunday.

The officer approached a man after he wiggled through the turnstyle at the 3, 4 station on Utica Avenue at around 7:30 p.m., cops said.

The man resisted arrest and punched the cop in the side of his head.

The officer was taken to Methodist hospital with minor injuries.

Cops were looking for the suspect Sunday night.
